There is much research that shows the positive impact on student achievement that family involvment can provide. When family members take an interest in a child's education, all sorts of good things happen!
The Ohio Parent Information and Resource Center says
Students with involved parents, no matter their background, are more likely to:
*earn higher grades and test scores
*be promoted and earn credits
*adapt well to school and attend regularly
*have better social skills and behavior
*graduate and go on to higher education
